Jérome Clech

Jérôme Clech is currently research engineer and head of operations and development at ESDR3C. He is a pilot-commander of the armée de l'air et de l’espace, and a lieutenant-colonel on call. He has been involved in several external operations, in Afghanistan, Chad and Côte d'Ivoire. In 2012, he took part in the work of the White Paper as a project manager for the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and Space. Advisor to Mr. Jacques Attali in 2013 for the presidential report on the positive economics, he then served at the DGSE, and joined the cabinet of the Minister of Defense (of the Armed Forces) from 2016 to 2020. He has been teaching foresight and strategy at Sciences Po Paris since 2019. His work focuses on global defense and security issues (digital sovereignty, climate change, aerospace capabilities, crisis management and political communication), hybridity (actors, conflicts, strategies), and strategic foresight, both theoretical and applied to strengthening European strategic autonomy. He is a graduate and doctor of the École polytechnique in mechanics, an engineer of the École de l'air et de l'espace, holds a master's degree from Sciences Po (Paris) in international security, is a graduate of the École de Guerre and a graduate of the Académie du renseignement
