Xavier Raufer

XavierRaufer

Xavier Raufer holds a PhD in geopolitics from Paris-Sorbonne. Criminologist since 1975, he has developed a strong expertise on social and political violence, terrorism and organized crime. He heads the Departement of Research on Contemporary Criminal Threats at the University Paris Assas II. He is an associated Professor in numerous universities worldwide, including the University of Fu Dan and Georges Mason University. He is a regular contributor to numerous News and Media outlets (Atlantico, Boulevard Voltaire etc.), and is currently also Head of a collection focused on criminology at CNRS-Editions. He has written several books on criminology and terrorism, the latest one being entitled Cybercriminologie (2015, CNRS Editions).
