Created at the end of 2009 in the wake of Alain Bauer's report Déceler-Étudier-Former, une nouvelle voie pour la recherche stratégique, the GIP CSFRS was mandated by the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister to revitalize French strategic thinking, and to help disseminate it within a broad community of educators, researchers, public and corporate decision-makers, opinion leaders... The National Conferences are part of this process, combining methodological analyses with more specialized workshops, and giving the floor to leading figures and young researchers. At the end of the CSFRS's ten-year mandate, the CNAM, its security defense intelligence unit (SDD-I3C) and its eponymous research team (SDRT-I3C) ensure the continuity of meetings and publications
